How to store parsley in the fridge

Parsley adds flavor and beauty to almost any dish it’s sprinkled on, or it can even be eaten as is. Since parsley is added to so many recipes, such as meatballs, stuffed dishes, and soups, it’s easy to overlook its importance.

Parsley is probably the most common herb among the green herbs found in kitchens. It has a unique flavor, and its appearance is similar to coriander, sometimes even causing confusion between the two. Cleaning and washing parsley

If there’s an elastic band around the bunch at the base of the stems, it’s important to remove it before washing and to separate the stems. When washing, be sure to clean the area near the elastic band to remove any loose leaves or dirt. It’s not uncommon to find a small snail or insect in the bunch. After washing, shake off the excess water and let the parsley dry in a colander or something similar until it’s ready for packaging.

Packaging and storing parsley

After the leaves have dried, I wrap them tightly and roll them in paper towels. After rolling, I place them in a bag and they’re ready to use without needing another wash on cooking day. You can also store them in a closed container or even create a box to store all your herbs together.
